The winner of the Doritos Make an ad, Make a fortune campaign has now been announced, with Alex George producing a cracker called ‘Dennis’ and cleaning up $30,000 for his efforts.
The judging panel nailed it with the Australian patriotism comment, even though it is tongue-in-cheek, this ad does make you feel like Doritos are very Australian.
To be entirely honest when I first saw this campaign announced I cringed thinking “not another User Generated Content campaign”.
But I have to admit that I was wrong, this campaign produced a great result.
It’s not as big budget as the US version where the winning ad appears during the Super Bowl, but nonetheless, well done Doritos!
